Contact, feedback and support

Facebook

There is a Facebook page dedicated to the analyser. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments or bug reports, it is preferable to post them there. That way everyone can see them and participate in the discussion. This is particularly useful when the same question may be asked by several users. Answering multiple emails, each asking the same question takes time - which leaves me less time time to spend on further development of the analyser.

In addition, various file updates may be made available in the files section, and users can share code for custom tracking generators, screenshots, custom gain tables and general usage articles demonstrating how the analyser may be used for a variety of purposes.

The Facebook page link is: Spectrum Analyser Facebook page It is a private group but access is easily granted, just answer a simple question and you can become a member.

Email

If you would prefer to keep your comment or queries private, there is an email address where I can be contacted but Facebook is the preferred point of contact. Send emails to: feedback@spectrumanalyser.co.uk

Bug reports or user problems

If you are experiencing any problems, or wish to report a bug, wherever possible, please include a screen shot of the analyser or the error message box. A picture really is worth a thousand words.

A screen shot can be made by clicking on the analyser or bug report to ensure it's the currently selected window. Then make a copy of the window by holding down the Alt key and then press the PrtScn button, usually located somewhere at the top of your keyboard. This will place a copy of the copied window into your clipboard.

Then open Windows Paint. Select the File tab and click on New. Click on the Paste button and select Paste from the drop-down list, or press Ctrl+V. That will paste the captured image into the image editor. Save the file by clicking on the File tab, then select Save as. A file save window will open. Enter a suitable file name and folder, click on  Save as type and select PNG(*png). Click on the Save button and the image will be saved. Please do not resize the image as this may make some of the numbers unreadable. This is also why PNG is the preferred image format.

Include the saved image with your query or bug report on either the Facebook page or as an attachment to your email.. A full screen-shot of the analyser will allow me to see what your control settings are and make it easier determine if your problem is due to incorrect settings..
